Why is the battery indicator on my Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 5000 keyboard?
I bought the above product yesterday and insert the supplied AA Energizer batteries (not rechargeable) in the back of the keyboard and have noticed that the battery indicator working. Is it because this feature only works with batteries? I tried looking at the instructions for help, but there is nothing about this feature – only a lot of information about security, how to properly use the keyboard and mouse and so on.
Depending on how long it is now one of the batteries may be flat, therefore not able to run the keyboard. I would return and let them test the batteries / replace / or could be a faulty keyboard.
